Spendful: Mindful Spending

A spending journal for looking back on what you bought. Spendful gives each day room for three purchases, each with an optional amount and a one-line reason. It gives no financial advice and connects to no bank.

Why a journal

Think back to last Tuesday: which purchase do you still remember, and why did you make it? Budgeting apps want every receipt, sorted into categories and charts. Spendful asks only for the three that stayed with you and a sentence about why. The limit of three is deliberate. It is enough to notice a pattern and too little to turn into bookkeeping.

Features

• Three entries a day: at three the day is full, and Spendful tells you so gently
• Optional amount and reason: a gift, a freebie or a refund fits as easily as a coffee
• History: past days newest first, each entry with the reason you wrote
• Streak badge: counts how many days in a row you have written
• Undo: bring back an entry you swiped away, within five seconds
• Daily reminder: 8 PM in your phone's time zone, if you allow notifications
• Your language and region: English, Korean, Japanese or Simplified Chinese, with your own currency and date order

What it costs, and what it keeps

• Free. One small banner ad sits at the bottom of the History tab. Today, Add Entry and Settings never show an ad
• In the EEA and UK, where the law asks for consent, a form appears before the first ad loads, and Ad privacy options in Settings reopens it. On iPhone the tracking prompt shows only when that form allows it. You can decline both and still keep every feature
• No account and no in-app purchases
• Your entries are saved in the app's own storage on your phone, and Spendful has no server of its own, so nothing you write is sent to us
• Ad requests are handled by the ad provider under its own policy. Details are in the privacy policy
