Tendly: Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 2026-04-17

Tendly ("the App") is operated by Peppertree. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it, including the banner ads that keep the App free.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

The App has no accounts. Diary entries, tracker records and checklist progress are stored only on your device. We do not operate a server that receives or stores this information.

Information Collected Through Advertising

The App shows one banner ad served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google's advertising software in the App may collect, from your device:

  • Your device's advertising identifier (the iOS IDFA or the Android advertising ID), or a device identifier where you have not allowed use of the advertising identifier
  • Ad interaction data, such as which ads were shown and tapped
  • An approximate location derived from your IP address
  • Diagnostic data such as crashes and performance

This information is collected and processed by Google under its own policies, not by us. We do not combine it with anything in the App, because the App has no account, name, email address or diary content for it to be linked to. Google's description of how it uses data from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Other Automatically Collected Information

  • Crash and diagnostic reports from the operating system (only if you have opted in to share them with developers via your device settings)

We do not ask for your name, email, contacts, photos or precise location.

2. Your Choices About Ads

  • Consent form (EEA and UK). Where the law requires it, Google's consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) appears the first time you open the App and asks whether ads may use your data. You can change your answer later from Settings → Ad privacy options, which is shown where the form applies.
  • App Tracking Transparency (iPhone). The system prompt asking whether the App may track you across other companies' apps and websites appears only after the consent step allows it. If you decline, you get the full App and ads that are less relevant.
  • Device settings. You can limit ad personalization or reset your advertising identifier in your device's privacy settings at any time.

3. How We Use Information

  • To operate and improve the App
  • To show ads that keep the App free
  • To respond to support requests you send us by email

We never sell, rent or trade your diary and tracker records, because we never receive them.

4. Third-Party Services

The App embeds two third-party services: Google AdMob (ads) and Google User Messaging Platform (the consent form). It embeds no analytics SDK and takes no payments. Other than the ad requests above and the standard crash and diagnostic reporting your operating system may send to Apple or Google under their own privacy policies, no data leaves your device.

5. Data Storage, Retention, and Security

  • Diary entries, timer records and checklist progress are stored locally in a database and in app preferences on your device.
  • If you delete the App, all locally stored data is removed from your device.
  • We cannot recover data from a lost device because we do not store backups.
  • Data collected by Google is retained under Google's policies.

6. Your Rights

  • Access / Export: Your records are on your device and are accessible through the App.
  • Deletion: Uninstall the App to delete all locally stored data.
  • Ad data: To exercise rights over data Google holds, use your Google account and device privacy controls, or the Ad privacy options in Settings where shown.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is designed for parents and caregivers. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
