Pyre: Visual Focus Timer

Pyre is a focus timer you can read without reading. A ring of flame burns down while a Pomodoro or deep work session runs, and the length of flame that is left is the time you have left.

Why Pyre looks the way it does

Digits ask you to do arithmetic: 14:32 left, is that a lot? A shrinking ring answers before you ask. Pyre keeps the digits in the middle for when you want them, and puts the answer around them, where one glance from across the desk is enough.

• Flame-ring timer: the ring burns down as the session runs
• Classic 25/5: a 25 minute sprint with a 5 minute break
• Deep 45, 60, 90 and 120: long blocks, with a 15 or 20 minute break after the two longest
• Auto-start breaks: breaks begin by themselves when a session ends, or wait for your tap
• Session alerts: a notification when a session or break ends, plus a daily 9:00 focus reminder
• Wall clock: show the current time beside the timer when minutes feel abstract
• Streaks, off by default: turn them on if they help, and one missed day per week is forgiven
• Stats: lifetime sessions, current streak and best streak
• Your language: English, Korean, Japanese or Simplified Chinese, whichever your phone uses

What it costs, and what it keeps

• Free. One small banner ad sits at the bottom of the Stats screen. The timer screen never shows an ad
• In places where the law requires consent (the EEA and UK), a form asks about ads before any ad loads. On iPhone, the system's tracking question appears only if that form allows it, and Settings shows an Ad privacy options row wherever the form applies
• No account and no in-app purchases
• Your settings, session totals and streaks are saved on your phone. Uninstalling the app removes them
• Ad requests are handled by the ad provider under its own policy. Details are in the privacy policy
