Moldless: Privacy Policy

Moldless (the "App") is operated by Peppertree. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information, including the one banner ad that keeps the App free.

The App has no user accounts and no server of its own. Your photos and saved scans stay on your device. The only data collected from your device is collected by the advertising software described below.

1. Camera and Photo Library Access

  • The App accesses your camera and photo library only so you can take or choose a photo for a mold check.
  • The photo is analyzed on your device, using its colors and texture. It is not uploaded to us or to anyone else.
  • If you keep a scan, the photo's location in the App's storage, the estimated result and the time are saved on your device in the History tab. You can delete one scan (long-press it) or clear them all, and uninstalling the App removes everything.

2. Information Collected Through Advertising

The App shows one banner ad at the bottom of the History tab, served by Google AdMob. No ad is shown on the scan, result or removal guide screens. To serve and measure ads, Google's advertising software inside the App may collect from your device:

  • Your device's advertising identifier (the iOS IDFA or the Android advertising ID), or another device identifier if you have not allowed use of the advertising identifier
  • Ad interaction data, such as which ads were shown and tapped
  • An approximate location derived from your IP address
  • Diagnostic data such as crashes and performance

Google collects and processes this information under its own policies, not ours. We do not link it to anything in the App, because the App has no name, email address or account for it to be linked to, and your photos and scans never leave your device. 3. Information We Do Not Collect

  • No name, email, phone number or account data. The App has no sign-in.
  • No photos: your photos are analyzed on the device and never sent to us.
  • No contacts and no precise location.
  • No analytics SDK of our own.

4. Your Choices About Ads

  • Consent form. Where the law requires it (for example the EEA), Google's consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) appears before ads load and asks whether ads may use your data.
  • App Tracking Transparency (iPhone). The system prompt asking whether the App may track you across other companies' apps and websites appears only after the consent step allows it. If you decline, you keep the whole App and see less relevant ads.
  • Device settings. You can limit ad personalization or reset your advertising identifier in your device's privacy settings at any time.

5. How We Use Information

  • To analyze a photo on your device and show the result and the removal guide.
  • To keep your History on your device.
  • To show the banner ad that keeps the App free.
  • To answer support requests you send us by email.

We never sell, rent or trade your photos or scans, because we never receive them.

6. Third-Party Services

The App includes two third-party services: Google AdMob (the banner ad) and Google User Messaging Platform (the consent form). It includes no separate analytics SDK and takes no payments. The App's fonts are bundled in the App. Apart from the ad requests above and the standard crash and diagnostic reporting your operating system may send to Apple or Google, no data leaves your device. Opening the Privacy Policy, Terms or Contact page from Settings loads apps.peppertree.so in your browser.

7. Data Storage and Security

  • Photos and scans are stored locally on your device.
  • The App does not sync to any cloud service.
  • Data collected by Google is retained under Google's policies.

8. Your Rights

  • Deleting scans in the App, or uninstalling it, removes your photos and scans from your device.
  • We hold no personal data on our servers, so there is nothing for us to export or delete on your behalf.
  • To exercise rights over data Google holds, use your Google account and device privacy controls.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy by changing the Last Updated date below. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept it.
