IsCold: Privacy Policy

Overview

IsCold ("the App") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data.

Data Collection

IsCold stores all data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.

Data stored locally:

  • Weather feedback: Your thermal comfort ratings (how cold/warm you felt)
  • Weather data: Temperature, humidity, wind speed from Open-Meteo API
  • Location: Used only to fetch weather for your current location (not stored on any server)
  • IsCold Score: Your personalized cold sensitivity score

Data NOT collected:

  • Personal identification information
  • Email addresses or phone numbers
  • Usage analytics or tracking data
  • Advertising identifiers

Third-Party Services

  • Open-Meteo API: We send your coordinates to fetch weather data. Open-Meteo does not require authentication and does not track users. See Open-Meteo Privacy.

Data Retention

Local data is retained for up to 30 days on your device. You can delete all data at any time from Settings > Reset All Data.

Children's Privacy

IsCold does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date.
