Deklare: Privacy Policy

Deklare (the "App") is operated by Peppertree. The App is free on iOS and Android and is supported by one banner ad. This policy explains what the App stores on your device, what the services built into it collect, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
What you enter stays on your device
The App has no accounts and no sign-in. Your goals, declarations and practice records are stored only on your device, in the App's local storage. We do not operate a server that receives or stores them, and they are not sent to Google or any ad network.
Information collected through advertising
The App shows one banner ad at the bottom of the four main tabs, served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google's advertising software in the App may collect from your device:
- Device identifiers, including the advertising identifier (the iOS IDFA or the Android advertising ID), or another device identifier where you have not allowed use of the advertising identifier
- Usage and interaction data, such as which ads were shown and tapped
- An approximate location derived from your IP address
- Diagnostic data, such as crashes and performance
Google collects and processes this information under its own policies, not us. We do not combine it with anything in the App, because the App holds no name, email address or account that it could be linked to.
Information collected through analytics and crash reporting
The App uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, both from Google:
- Usage data: app opens, screen views and feature events such as creating a goal or finishing a reading, together with an app instance identifier and device and OS information
- Crash and diagnostic data: a crash report with the stack trace, device model, OS version and app version
The text of your goals and declarations and the amounts you enter are not sent in these events. Analytics and crash data are not linked to your name or contact details, because the App does not collect them.
What we do not collect
- Your name, email address, phone number or contacts
- Precise location
- Photos. The App only saves a declaration image you choose to your photo library and never reads your library
- Payment information. The App sells nothing and has no purchase flow
2. How We Use Information
- To operate and improve the App
- To show the banner ad that keeps the App free
- To find and fix crashes
- To reply to messages you send us by email
3. Your Choices About Ads and Tracking
- Consent form (EEA, UK and Switzerland). Where the law requires it, a Google consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) appears before any ad is requested and asks whether ads may use your data. You can change your answer later from Settings > Ad Privacy Settings, which is shown only where the form applies.
- App Tracking Transparency (iPhone and iPad). Through the same consent flow, iOS asks whether the App may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, the whole App still works and you see ads that do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA). You can change this at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Android advertising ID. In Android Settings > Privacy > Ads you can reset the advertising ID or delete it.
- Personalized ads. Both iOS and Android let you limit ad personalization in the device's privacy settings.

- The App has no social integrations and no other advertising networks.
5. Notifications
Morning and evening reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. They are off until you turn them on, no server is involved, and you can switch them off in the App or in system settings at any time.
6. Data Storage, Retention and Deletion
- On your device. Goals, declarations, practice records and settings stay on your device until you delete them in the App or uninstall the App. Uninstalling removes all of them.
- No backups. We keep no copy, so we cannot restore data from a lost or reset device.
- Analytics, crash and advertising data. Google keeps this data under its own retention policies. We do not store it on our own servers.
- Requests. To ask about data connected to your device, email us at the address below.
7. Data Security
Your data lives in the operating system's app sandbox, protected by your device's passcode and encryption. Data sent to Google by the services above travels over encrypted connections.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will help get it removed.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the App changes. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest revision, and continued use of the App after a change means you accept it.

App Store and Google Play Declarations
These match the answers given to Apple (App Privacy) and Google (Data safety).
- App Store, data used to track you: Device ID.
- App Store, data linked to you: Device ID, Product Interaction, Advertising Data, Coarse Location.
- App Store, data not linked to you: Crash Data, Performance Data, Other Diagnostic Data.
- Google Play, data collected and shared: approximate location, app interactions, device or other IDs, and diagnostics, for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. Data is encrypted in transit.
- Goals and declarations: not collected and not shared. They stay on your device.
