This Privacy Policy describes how Ziply ("we", "our", "us") handles information when you use the Ziply mobile application (the "App").
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Links you create: URLs you shorten, custom aliases, passwords, and expiration settings. This data is stored locally on your device via
shared_preferences.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Advertising identifiers: The App uses Google AdMob to serve banner advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android) and usage data in accordance with its own privacy practices. See Google's Privacy & Terms.
- App interaction data: Streak counts and link-creation history stored locally on your device.
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not operate a central account or user database for the mobile app. Your links are stored locally.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide the core URL shortening functionality on your device.
- To display non-personalized advertisements via Google AdMob (in accordance with user ATT/consent choices).
- To maintain local streak and usage statistics for retention features.

4. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
On iOS 14.5+, the App will request permission before allowing tracking via App Tracking Transparency. If you decline, AdMob will serve non-personalized ads.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
- Data stored locally (
shared_preferences) stays on your device until you delete the App or clear its data in device settings. - To delete all local data, uninstall the App.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR/CCPA), you may request to access, correct, or delete data. Because the App does not operate a central server, most of these actions are performed by deleting local data on your device.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at the address below.
