Introduction

Linglish ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Linglish mobile application handles, who receives it, and the choices you have.

Information Stored on Your Device

The following information is created as you use the App and stays on your device:

  • Learning Progress: Words you have seen, favorites, weekly challenge progress, and learning statistics
  • Preferences: Settings such as notification preferences, difficulty level, language, and theme

We do not receive this information. You can delete it by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the App.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App shows a banner ad provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect:

  • Device identifiers, such as the advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS only if you allow tracking, the Android advertising ID on Android)
  • IP address and approximate location derived from it
  • Ad interactions, such as impressions and taps, and basic device information
  • Crash logs and performance data from the ads SDK

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the App asks for your consent before ads can be personalized. On iOS, the App asks for permission to track through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline either, you still see ads, but they are not personalized. Google's use of this data is described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Your Choices

  • Tracking (iOS): Change the App's tracking permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
  • Ad personalization (EEA/UK/Switzerland): Open Settings → Ad privacy choices in the App to review or change your consent
  • Advertising ID (Android): Reset or delete it in your device's Google settings
  • Notifications: Turn reminders off at any time in the App's Settings
  • Deletion: Uninstalling the App removes the data stored on your device

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new policy on this page and update the "Last Updated" date.
