Gugudan Hero (the "App") is operated by Peppertree.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

The App is fully offline for learning. We do not collect any personally identifiable information. You may optionally contact us via email; any information you share in that email is used solely to respond to your inquiry.

Automatically Collected Information

  • App usage statistics (quiz results, streak counts, games played, per-fact accuracy, daily-quota counter) are stored locally on your device using SharedPreferences.
  • Restoring those statistics on a new device relies on the platform's standard backup (iCloud Backup on iPhone and iPad, Android backup on Android devices). We do not run any sync of our own.
  • No data is transmitted to our servers. Peppertree has no backend.

What We Do Not Collect

  • No advertising identifiers (no IDFA on iOS, no Android advertising ID)
  • No third-party analytics SDK (no Firebase, Sentry, Mixpanel, Amplitude)
  • No crash-reporting SDK
  • No third-party advertising SDK (no AdMob; this app is built for children and is 100% ad-free)
  • No location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access

How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and improve the App experience
  • Respond to your support requests

Data Storage and Security

  • All learning data (quiz results, stats, preferences, daily-quota counter) is stored locally on your device.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties.

Your Rights

  • You may uninstall the App at any time, which permanently deletes all locally stored data on that device.
  • You may request deletion of any data shared with us via email.
  • You may opt out of any communications at any time.

Children's Privacy

The App is designed for general audiences, including children. It does not collect personal information from users of any age. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us via email, contact us and we will delete it immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
