Glucoach: Privacy Policy

Glucoach is an informational meal-awareness tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis or treatment.

Data processing

  • Meal records and profile: Meals you log, optional meal photos, and any optional profile values are stored locally on your device. Glucoach does not operate a server and never uploads your meals.
  • Food lookup: Nutrition estimates are looked up from a food database bundled inside the app. No network request is made to log a meal.

Advertising

Glucoach is free and shows one banner ad, served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google's SDK may collect:

  • a device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android)
  • your IP address, which can indicate your approximate location
  • app performance and diagnostic information, such as launch time and crashes
  • ad interaction data, such as ad views and taps

Google handles this data under the Google Privacy Policy. It is not linked to your meal records, which never leave your device.

Your choices

  • On iOS, the App Tracking Transparency prompt lets you decline tracking. The app keeps working and shows non-personalized ads.
  • In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland a consent form appears before any ad is shown. You can change your choice later from Settings → Privacy options.
  • You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings at any time.

No accounts, purchases, or analytics

The app has no accounts, purchases, subscriptions, or analytics SDKs. The advertising SDK described above is the only third-party component that receives any data.

Your controls

Delete individual meals in History, or uninstall the app to remove all locally stored app data.
