DreamSeer: Privacy Policy

DreamSeer (the "App") is an on-device dream dictionary operated by KentT. The App is built so that your data stays on your device. We do not run a server, and we do not collect, transmit, or sell your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. Everything you enter or save lives only on your device.

1.1 Stored locally on your device (never sent to us)

  • Dream text and lookups: The dream keywords and entries you save. Stored on-device via SharedPreferences.
  • Nickname: Shown to greet you in the app. Stored on-device only.
  • Preferences: Your reminder setting, reminder time, and interpretation-style choice. Stored on-device only.

1.2 We Do NOT Collect

  • No accounts, no sign-in, no email, phone, or contact book
  • No photos, location, or device files
  • No advertising identifier (IDFA / AAID) - the App contains no ad SDK
  • No analytics or crash-reporting SDK
  • No payment information - the App is free with no in-app purchases

2. No Network Use for Interpretation

Dream interpretation is performed entirely on your device using a built-in, hand-curated dictionary. Your dream text is never sent over the network. The App makes no remote AI or server call to produce a result.

3. Notifications (optional)

If you enable the optional daily reminder, the App schedules a local notification on your device (via the operating system). No reminder data leaves your device, and no push/remote notification service is used. You can disable the reminder at any time in Settings, or revoke the system notification permission in your device settings.

4. Third-Party Services

None. This version of the App integrates no third-party SDKs for advertising, analytics, AI, or data collection.

5. Retention and Deletion

  • All data is stored only on your device.
  • Use Settings > Reset Data to erase your saved dreams and preferences at any time.
  • Uninstalling the App removes all of its local data.
  • We operate no server, so there is no server-side data to retain or delete.

6. Children's Privacy

DreamSeer is not directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
