DreamSeer: Privacy Policy

DreamSeer (the "App") is a dream dictionary operated by Peppertree. Dream interpretation runs on your device, and we do not run a server for the App. From version 1.1.0 the App shows one banner ad at the bottom of the result screen, served by Google AdMob. This policy explains what is stored on your device and what the ad service may collect.

1. Information stored on your device

  • Dream text and lookups: the dream keywords and entries you save, stored on your device via SharedPreferences
  • Nickname: shown to greet you in the App, stored on your device only
  • Preferences: your reminder setting, reminder time and interpretation style, stored on your device only

This information is never sent to us or to any ad network.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to show one banner ad on the result screen. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect from your device:

  • Your device's advertising identifier (the iOS IDFA or the Android advertising ID)
  • Your IP address, device model, operating system version and information about the App
  • How you interact with the ad

Google processes this data under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. Your dream text, nickname and preferences are never shared with Google.

Your choices

  • Consent form. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA and the UK), Google's consent form asks for your choice before personalized ads are shown. You can change it later in Settings > Ad privacy choices, which appears where the form applies.
  • App Tracking Transparency (iPhone). The App shows Apple's system prompt asking whether it may use your advertising identifier. If you decline, the whole App still works and the ads are less relevant. You can change this in your iPhone's Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
  • Android. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.

3. Interpretation stays on your device

Dream interpretation uses a built-in, hand-curated dictionary on your device. Your dream text is never sent over the network, and the App makes no remote AI or server call to produce a result. The App uses the network only to load ads.

4. Notifications (optional)

If you turn on the daily reminder, the App schedules a local notification through your device's operating system. No reminder data leaves your device, and no push or remote notification service is used. You can turn the reminder off in Settings, or revoke the notification permission in your device settings.

  • Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK), including Google's User Messaging Platform for the consent form

The App includes no analytics, crash-reporting or AI SDKs. The App is free and has no in-app purchases.

6. Retention and deletion

  • Data the App stores lives only on your device. Use Settings > Reset data to erase your saved dreams and preferences at any time, or uninstall the App to remove all of its local data.
  • We run no server for the App, so we hold no copy of your data.
  • Data Google collects for ads is kept under Google's privacy policy.

DreamSeer is not directed at children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
