Chemify: Privacy Policy

Chemify (the "App") is operated by Peppertree.

Chemify is designed around a simple principle: your data stays on your device. We do not run servers that store your personal data, and the App contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDK of our own. From version 1.1.0 the App shows banner ads served by Google AdMob, and the ads SDK collects the data described in Sections 1, 4 and 5. This version of the policy applies from the release of version 1.1.0.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Nickname: used only to personalize the in-app experience. Stored locally on your device. Never transmitted to Peppertree.
  • Test answers and Chem Type result: your personality test result. Stored locally on your device.
  • Chem List entries: names of friends/family/coworkers and the relationship type you assign to them. Stored locally on your device.

Information collected automatically

  • By our own code: none. Chemify has no analytics, crash-reporting or telemetry framework of its own and no servers that receive your data.
  • By the ads SDK (Google Mobile Ads, including the User Messaging Platform): device identifiers (the advertising identifier where you allow it, and device-level identifiers), IP address and the coarse location derived from it, device and OS information, and how you interact with the ads shown. Google processes this data to serve, measure and, where you consent, personalize ads. See Section 5.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, calendar, or any other system data.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information you enter (nickname, test results, Chem List) is used only to display your results inside the App on your own device. We do not use this information for any other purpose because we never receive it.

3. Data Storage

  • All personal data you enter is stored locally on your device using Hive.
  • We do not maintain a server-side copy of your data. We do not sell, share, or transmit your personal information to any third party.

5. Advertising and Tracking

  • Chemify shows banner ads from Google AdMob under the two result screens. There are no interstitial, rewarded or app-open ads.
  • Consent (EEA and UK): on first launch you see a consent form before any ad is requested. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy options. Declining personalized ads keeps the App fully functional; you will see non-personalized ads.
  • iOS App Tracking Transparency: on iOS the system tracking prompt appears after the consent form. If you deny it, the ads SDK does not receive your advertising identifier (IDFA) and ads are not personalized. You can change this later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of ads personalization in Android Settings → Google → Ads.
  • The App integrates no analytics or attribution SDK beyond the ads SDK.

6. Your Rights

  • Access: all your data is on your device; you can view it at any time inside the App.
  • Deletion: uninstalling the App removes all data.
  • Portability: because your data never leaves your device, there is no Peppertree-held copy to request or export.
  • Advertising choices: see Section 5 for the consent form, the iOS tracking setting and the Android advertising ID controls. Requests about data Google processes for advertising go to Google through the links in Section 4.

7. Children's Privacy

This App is rated 4+ and is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App that somehow reached us, please contact us at [email protected] and we will investigate.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app at least 7 days before taking effect, and the "Last Updated" date above will be revised.
