1. Overview

Brainy Owl Quiz (the "App") values your privacy and complies with applicable privacy laws. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores only the following information locally on your device:

  • Selected difficulty level
  • Quiz progress and high scores
  • Language preference
  • Sound settings

This information stays on your device and is not sent to our servers.

2.2 Information Collected Through Advertising Services

The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect the following information:

  • Device identifiers (Advertising ID)
  • IP address
  • App usage data (ad interaction information)

Child Safety: The App is classified as child-directed content, and only age-appropriate, non-personalized ads are displayed.

2.3 Question Reports

If a quiz question looks wrong, you can report it from inside the App. Reporting is optional, and a report is sent only when you tap Send. A report sends the following to our server:

  • The question ID, the reason you picked, and the question and answer as shown
  • The answer you picked in the quiz, or that time ran out
  • Your opinion: the answer you think is correct, or a short note of up to 200 characters that you type
  • The app version, the operating system and its version, and the app language

A report contains no name, email address, account or advertising ID. Please don't write your name, school or contact details in the note. If we find such details in a report, we delete them. Our server does not store your IP address or location with a report. It only uses the IP address for a moment to block repeated submissions. We use reports only to fix quiz content.

3. Use of Information

Locally stored information is used solely for:

  • Providing quizzes at your chosen level
  • Maintaining settings when the app is reopened
  • Recording game progress

Question reports are used only to correct quiz content.

4. Information Sharing

The App does not share any information with third parties, except through the advertising service (Google AdMob). Question reports are not shared with anyone.

5. Children's Privacy

The App does not specifically collect personal information from children under 14. Advertisements comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) regulations and are displayed according to child-directed advertising policies.

6. Data Deletion

All data stored by the App on your device is deleted when you uninstall the App. The Advertising ID can be reset through your device settings. To have a question report you sent deleted, email us at the address below.

7. Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated. Any changes will be notified through the App.
