Badgefy: Sale & Tag Badges ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting merchant privacy. This policy explains what data we access, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Access and Store

• Product data — product IDs, variant IDs, compare-at prices, and product tags. Used to determine which products display sale badges or tag badges on the storefront. Product data is read via the Shopify API and is not persisted beyond the active session.
• Shop configuration — your plan tier, badge settings (colors, position, text, enabled/disabled state), and tag badge configuration stored in our database.

What We Do NOT Collect

• Customer names, physical addresses, email addresses, or phone numbers
• Payment card data or financial credentials
• Order data or purchase history
• Browsing behavior or marketing analytics
• Any data unrelated to badge display

How We Use Data

All data is used exclusively to render product badges on the storefront — to display sale badges on discounted products and tag badges on tagged products.

Data Retention

Shop configuration and badge settings are retained while the app is installed. Upon uninstall, all data is deleted within 48 hours.

Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing or any purpose unrelated to app functionality.

GDPR Compliance

We comply with GDPR via Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact). For data access or deletion requests, contact us at [email protected].
