The short version
Your journal entries never leave your device. We do not collect them, store them on a server, or share them with anyone.
The app is free and supported by ads (via Google AdMob). The sections below explain exactly what that means for your privacy.
What data stays on your device (always)
- Your gratitude entries (the three lines you write each day)
- Your streak count
- Your reminder time preference
- Your theme preference
None of this data is transmitted to any server, ever.
Advertising (AdMob)
We use Google AdMob to display ads on the Calendar screen and Settings screen.
Ads never appear on the Today writing screen.
What Google may receive
When an ad is displayed, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect:
- Device identifiers (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android) — only if you have consented via the App Tracking Transparency (iOS) or consent form (EU)
- General device information (OS version, screen size, locale)
- Ad interaction signals (whether you tapped an ad)
Google does not receive your journal content. The SDK has no access to what you write.

App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
On iOS, after you complete onboarding, the app may present Apple's App Tracking Transparency dialog asking whether to allow tracking for personalized ads.
- If you tap Allow: ads may be personalized based on your device's ad identifier (IDFA).
- If you tap Ask App Not to Track: ads will still appear, but they will not be personalized. Your experience is otherwise identical.
You can change this setting at any time in: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → 3-Line Gratitude.
EU / EEA — GDPR consent
If you are in the European Union or EEA, a consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) will appear on first launch. You may choose whether to allow personalized ads or non-personalized ads.
You can withdraw or update your consent at any time by uninstalling the app or adjusting tracking settings on your device.
